Eberhard & Co. has created a collector’s timepiece for Dallara, celebrating the renowned company specialized in engineering design, development, and production of race cars, prototypes, and high-performance road vehicles. A unique watch that embodies the long-standing bond between the two brands, united by their shared passion, independent spirit, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
This tribute takes shape in the contemporary reinterpretation of the legendary Contograf chronograph, featuring a black dial customized with yellow counters—the iconic colour of Dallara—and enriched by its distinctive logo. Inspired by the namesake 1960s model, the Contograf is a self-winding mechanical chronograph, celebrated in its time for its pioneering features, such as the chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock with a telephone timing indicator (marking the connection charge that used to activate every three minutes) and the large date display at 6 o’clock with quick-set functionality—a revolutionary feature for its era.
The modern reissue preserves the innovative spirit of the original while introducing unique details, such as an automotive-inspired tachymeter scale on the rehaut, featuring a red 50 km/h average speed marker in homage to the world of motorsport.
Limited to just 50 pieces, the Contograf Dallara is exclusively available to Dallara people and owners of the Dallara Stradale, the “dream come true” of Engineer Giampaolo Dallara, founder and current President of the company. This dream became reality in 2017 with the creation of a high-performance supercar, designed to deliver a race-like driving experience, thanks to its lightweight 855 kg frame and extreme aerodynamics, while remaining fully road-legal.
This timepiece celebrates the synergy between Eberhard & Co. and Dallara, two brands driven by a shared vision that have collaborated on multiple occasions, including historic motorsport events such as La Leggenda di Bassano – Trofeo Giannino Marzotto, where rally champion and Eberhard & Co. Ambassador Miki Biasion traditionally leads the event behind the wheel of the Dallara Stradale.
