The “Tazio Nuvolari Vanderbilt Cup” collection is dedicated to one of Nuvolari’s most exciting victories, achieved in the U.S.A. on Long Island in 1936. A mechanical self-winding watch, “Tazio Nuvolari – Vanderbilt Cup” offers remarkable technical features, interpreted in a modern key but inspired by the past. The second chronograph push-button is inserted coaxially into the regulating crown, recalling the coaxially controlled Eberhard & Co. chronographs of the 1930s. The case has a hinged caseback that can be opened by means of a special vertical slide. Engraved on the inside of the caseback are a stylised reproduction of the armour, Nuvolari’s lucky charm, the driver’s initials and an engraving cartouche. The specially finished movement is visible through the double sapphire crystal case-back, which bears Tazio Nuvolari’s signature.
